Handcrafted in small batches, the Nimble 9 is a steel all-mountain hardtail built to get rowdy and designed to accommodate 29-inch, 29-plus or 27.5-plus wheels with up to 2.8-inch tires. We will be releasing the new Nimble 9 in nine colors, Canfield Glow in the Dark Sparkle Blue, Sparkle Orange, Sparkle Green, Matte Black, Gloss Black, Deep Red, Midnight, Forest Green and Limited Edition Chrome. Lastly, we gave the new Nimble 9 the innovative Canfield Brothers 29er geometry. A delicately tuned pedaling and pumping platform, super supple beginning stroke sensitivity and all the travel you could ask for makes for a mind bending ride. We also designed new sliding dropouts that are reminiscent of something seen on a custom motorcycle. New innovations include a removable front derailleur block that allows the frame to look super clean when setting it up as single speed. We wanted to incorporate a hydro formed toptube and a 44mm head tube. That, and the sliding dropouts with the ability to run a chainstay length a whopping 1'-plus shorter than my MCR have me really intrigued to know what the Nimble 9 rides like compared to my MCR. From the start of the redesign of the current Nimble 9, we wanted to give the bike a distinctive look different from what is currently available in chromo hardtails. So it really caught my eye when I found out that the Canfield Nimble 9 has a 69 degree HA when paired with the Fox F29 100mm, which I have. The Canfield Brothers 29er revolution continues with the ALL NEW Nimble 9. One issue I had was the heel to chainstay clearance for my big feet and it looks like they have fixed that. In retrospect the geo was probably better suited to my riding needs than the Scandal I bought. I test rode Grant’s N9 in 2011 and liked it a lot. ![]()
